St Dunstan's, Cranbrook

2019 Appeal - 'Let There be Light!'

light bulb

St. Dunstan’s future is about creating a place and a space that further blends the spiritual life of its worshipping community with the broader community at large. Our plan is for the unique asset of St. Dunstan’s to better meet the needs of a broader congregation and community: to engage more with culture and the arts: to create enterprise and be more sustainable financially whilst working to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to all.

To assist St Dunstan’s on this exciting journey, we need to make the church building safer, fit for purpose and ready to accommodate future changes to support the needs of our community and congregation.

The priority is to rewire St. Dunstan’s and to install new lighting systems, power points and sockets.

To achieve our goal, the campaign is seeking the support and generosity of the Cranbrook community; St. Dunstan’s worshipping community; local and national businesses as well as charities and grant making bodies.

‘Let there be Light!’ is the St Dunstan's 2019 appeal with a target of fund-raising £140,000 during 2019 to complete the works.

Fundraising Update

As at 14.06.2019

                           £82,601.18

has been raised towards the project thanks to the generosity of a legacy gift; a contribution from The Friends of St. Dunstan's, donations from our church community, local events and grants from charitable bodies.

How you can help

Over the years we have been blessed by the generosity of our Congregation, Friends and Community. This campaign and appeal are a challenge as the tangible benefits of a rewired St Dunstan’s will only be apparent once the work is done. We pray that you will come with us on this important journey and that your generosity can help us to make St Dunstan’s Church, safe, fit for purpose and ready to accommodate future requirements for us, our friends and our community.

If you would like to make a gift towards the cost of the project, this can be done in one of several ways:

By Bank Transfer: Sort Code: 40-18-48, Account: St Dunstan’s PCC, Account Number: 31370774, Reference: LTBL2019

By cheque: Made payable to St Dunstan’s PCC and marked ‘LTBL2019’ on the reverse of your cheque

A regular gift: by completing the gift forms in St Dunstan’s Church

In all instances if you are a UK taxpayer, please do complete a Gift Aid declaration so we can claim as additional 25p for every £1.00 donation. These are available from St Dunstan’s Church or via the contacts below.

Alternatively, if you would like to be involved in this fund raising project, please let us know. In the first instance please contact Revd. Ann (ann.pollington@btinternet.com), Tel: (Church Office) 01580 715861or Nye Jones (nyejones@btinternet.com)
