Social Events
Social events are an important part of our church life. They are a means of bringing people together for fun and relaxation. Food is usually involved!!!
The social committee aim to run one major event each term. There have been barn dances, suppers, quizzes, parties with home-grown entertainment, camping trips and a Christmas lunch.
The social committee are always grateful for new ideas and suggestions for future social events.
There are other smaller events which are organised by individual groups within the church and, from time to time, we have a shared meal together after morning worship.

Christmas Lunch 2010
Airports were shut down, motorways closed but snow was not going to stop St. Dunstan's Christmas Dinner!
Armed with an arsenal of slow cookers, our intrepid cooks produced splendid, piping hot, traditional fare and all in the church building!
Tables were placed down the Nave and cross aisle, and were tended by a band of cheerful, volunteer waitresses.

Grace was said, followed by the pulling of crackers and the placing on heads of the obligitary paper hats.
Suitably merry, everyone tucked in to turkey, with all the trimmings, or duck.

The joke in Richard and Anna's cracker must have been good!
Family Barn Dance

Everybody swung their partners to the lively music of Rattle the Board's Ceilidh Band.

Pashey entertained us with a medley of country and western numbers, while we all tucked in to a hearty ploughman's supper.
We did save her some food!
The evening was a fun 'all-age' event!
