Worship at St Dunstan's

Sunday Services

8.00 am Book of Common Prayer - Holy Communion

This much-loved service in our side chapel affords an opportunity to worship quietly with the language of the historic 1662 service. There is no music; the brief homily follows the bible readings from the Common Worship Lectionary.

9.30 am Choral Eucharist
(1st Sunday of the month - Family Service
3rd Sunday of the month- Mattins)

This formal traditional service is in the nave. With robed choir and traditional hymns. we use the liturgy of Common Worship and follow the Lectionary readings. During part of the service, the children are taught in separate Sunday School groups at the rear of the Nave. After the service, coffee and tea are served and there is a chance to buy goods from our Traidcraft stall, and also to meet with members of the 11.15 service. Some regulars at this service meet midweek in cell groups .

11.15am Praise service

( 3rd Sundays - with Holy Communion)

This service was launched in 2002 and has created a new opportunity for worship. The style is contempoarary and informal and the sermons are based on either a book of the bible or a theme such as "the Kingdom of God". There is a creche in church and the children have a full programme over in Church House run by our children's team.
