Forging Faith in Jesus

The 4Thirty Service

The new all-age service in St Dunstan’s Church at 4.30pm for 45 mins followed by high tea.

Every third Sunday:

  • Lie in and read the papers
  • Kids get to play morning sport
  • Go away for the weekend ……

…. and still make church as a family!

 Everyone is welcome

Our new 'All Age' service was launched in October 2010 and takes place on the 3rd Sunday of the month ... at 4.30pm of course ... with soup, sandwiches and cake afterwards!

In the past it was easy for families to attend church on a Sunday, as nothing much happened on the Sabbath! Today, times have changed, and parents are faced with difficult choices. Many sports activities take place on Sunday morning. This service is an attempt to make it easier for families who find attendance difficult on Sunday mornings.

It is an informal service in a mainly contemporary style, with one or two well known traditional hymns. There is a small music group which we hope will develop and attract other young musicians.  Junior Church is available for families with young children (6 years old or less) but everyone begins the service together.
